What’s in our drawers?

After what seemed like an endless wait we piloted Jupiter from Key Largo north 50 miles to Fort Lauderdale to prepare for loading, which is “tentatively” scheduled for Monday afternoon, April 9th.  She is tied up at Bahia Mar Yachting Center where we are making last preparations.  This morning we replaced the ensign and a toilet seat, installed storm covers on portholes, drained pipes and emptied fridges and freezers, hoping to get the interior completely dry in an attempt to avoid mildew during shipping. We blue-taped dishes together and tucked them tight with bubble-wrap and rags to mitigate the effects of shifting and rolling at sea.

“Please be advised that you are ‘tentatively’ scheduled to load on board the M/V Star Lofoten on Monday, April 9th at 2:30pm. Port Everglades Berth No. 4.”

Today’s missive from our shipping agent.
