Floatin’ on Lofoten

Having transited the Panama Canal the Star Lofoten, carrying Jupiter as deck cargo, is traveling northwest along the coast of Mexico. She is steaming at 13.6 knots, next stop La Paz.

Star Lofoten is a massive 671 foot long freighter with four slewing cranes (meaning they can lift both horizontally and vertically) and dehumidified cargo holds below decks. Her maximum draft (depth below the water line) is 42 feet. Jupiter, is 60 feet in length and draws only 5 feet.
